How to change component color back to original color at assembly level.

I understand I can just use Edit>Object Display and change the color, but then the color is not associated to the original component.

A previous user has changed the color of a component at the assembly level.  I would like to change it back to the original color so that if the actual (original) color of that component changes at the detail level, the component will also change color at the assembly level.

Select component in Assembly navigator, right click, select properties. Remove check in checkbox "Specific Component Color". Click OK.

If the color is assigned to the faces of the component (not body) then you need to do part clean up.

File > Utilities > Part Cleanup.

At the bottom of the dialog, select 'Remove All Changes' option for 'Component Display' and OK/Apply.
